Bonded Ferrite Magnets

Bonded ferrite magnets are produced by mixing polymer matrices with ferrite powders. The manufacturing process has been known since the late 1950s and, compared to ceramic ferrite magnets, allows the production of a wide variety of geometries through injection molding or compression molding processes, generally eliminating the need for additional finishing operations.
The main advantage is the ability to minimize component assembly processes by directly using finished parts (such as rings or other complex systems) that are already magnetized in the optimal configuration.
Components can be molded with high precision, reducing the tolerances of the final device. This enables significant miniaturization while maintaining high material performance and dimensional accuracy of the finished component.
The overmolding capability of this type of magnet eliminates additional manufacturing processes and further improves the accuracy of the final assembly.
