Sintered Neodymium Iron Boron Magnets (NdFeB)
The development of sintered Neodymium magnets (NdFeB) began in the early 1980s, initially targeting the computer device industry (voice coil motors). Over time, their use has expanded across all industrial sectors, including brushless servo motors, linear motors, loudspeakers, magnetic sensor systems, sputtering systems (magnetrons), magnetic resonance imaging machines, and rotary or linear magnetic couplings.
NdFeB magnets are an intermetallic compound composed of a rare earth element (Neodymium) and a transition metal (Iron). They are manufactured through a sintering process carried out in an inert atmosphere, unlike ceramic ferrite magnets.
The magnets can be produced through isostatic pressing in an oil bath or by using molds, providing either axial or diametrical magnetization orientation. They are then machined into the required shapes and dimensions using diamond cutting tools.

Sintered Neodymium Magnets
Specialized in the design, production, and supply of Neodymium magnets, MPI offers customers a wide range of products in different shapes and sizes, fully customizable according to specific requirements.
Neodymium magnets are widely used in numerous applications thanks to their superior magnetic performance.
- Their high energy density enables Neodymium magnets to provide both high residual induction (resulting in excellent magnetic performance) and high coercive force (ensuring outstanding resistance to demagnetization).
- Their excellent temperature stability allows Neodymium magnets to operate at temperatures above 200°C.
- Neodymium magnets are also suitable for use in aggressive environments or food-related applications thanks to protective coatings and treatments provided through various electrochemical processes (such as nickel plating and zinc plating), as well as the application of resins or other specialized protective materials.
