High-Quality Permanent Bonded Magnets
Bonded NdFeB magnets are produced by mixing plastic binders with NdFeB powder, a process which allows the merging of high rare earth performances and bonded magnets potentialities.
The process of obtaining this NdFeB powder was developed in the same time with the development of sintered NdFeB process. However, only during the last years, it started to experience an increased market growth, mainly thanks to the high variety of shapes, geometries, and material combination it can allow, by mean of compression and injection moulding.
There are many advantages which help minimize the assembling processes of a complete device as well as in its miniaturization. Furthermore, parts can also be moulded with high accuracy, reducing global tolerance of final parts. Also, the magnetization of the permanent bonded or plastic coated magnet can be obtained in a wide variety of configurations. We find these magnets applied in a wide range of products such as:
- electric motors (rotating and linear)
- sensor systems
- magnetic couplings
The max working temperature is over 150 °C allowing satisfying most of the requests from different sectors: automotive, automation, instrumentation, house appliances.
